
Mr. Thomas Stradford was born to the late Peter and Mary Stradford, on June 28, 1949, in Camden, South Carolina. He entered into eternal life on April 23, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.
Thomas joined St. Paul United Methodist Church at an early age. He was educated in the Kershaw County Public School System and graduated from Jackson High School. Thomas joined the United States Army where he served for many years. He then went on to work at DuPont where he was a devoted employee until his health caused him to retire.
Thomas was affectionately known as “Iceberg” and “T-Lee” by his friends and family. He enjoyed playing pool, racing cars, playing cards and shooting dice. Those he came in contact with loved him.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Josephine Stradford of Camden, SC; three sons, Darrell (Vanessa) James of Cassatt, SC, Artrell Addison and Montrell Addison both of Camden, SC; four grandchildren, Airman 1st Class Damari James of Alberquerque, NM, N’Mya James and Nadya James of Cassatt, SC and Malaysha Addison of Camden, SC; two brothers, Ted Stradford of Atlanta, GA and LeRoy Stradford of Detroit MI; four sisters, Margie Cameron of Elgin, SC, Mae Francis Stradford and Rosa Bell Stradford both of Camden, SC and Ruby Johnson of Beaufort, SC; two brothers-in-law, Walter James of Cassatt, SC and Tom (Debra) James of Camden, SC; four sisters-in-law, Melvenia (James) Fredrick of Lugoff, SC, Etheline James of Camden, SC, Barbara James of Laurel, MD and Doris (Steve) Seh of Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held, April 28, 202 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Nelson-Haile Funeral Home, with funeral service being held on April 29, 202 at 10:00 am, interment followed at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
