EASTOVER – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Lannis Edward Smith, 62, will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith died Thursday, April 7, 2016. Born in Winnsboro, he was a son of Vera Rebecca Smith and the late Thomas W. Smith. He enjoyed building and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Sylvia Kelly Smith; daughters, Selena Smith and Tonya Smith of Lugoff; brothers, Tommy Smith (Sandra) of Rock Hill, Harris Smith (Mary) of Chester, Floyd Smith (Carolyn) of Great Falls; grandchildren, Jacob Shealy and Richard “Rusty” Cooper; and a great-grandchild, Caiden Hemphill. He was predeceased by a son, Lannis Smith, Jr.
