Syderas R. Sanders, 82, widow of Roy Sanders, reunited with the Lord September 30, 2012.
Mrs. Sanders was a retired educator, having taught many of those years in Greer and Elgin. She was a gifted musician and church organist at Blaney Baptist Church, where she was a life-time member. She graduated from Furman University in 1951.
She was survived by former husband, Emory B. Kelley, Jr. and children: Cindy (Bob) Newell, Melanie (David) Cozzo and Joseph E. Kelley. She has four grandchildren: Tyler Kelley, Kelley Wills, Mason Wills and Sarah Rose Newell, a sister, Margie R. Crowley, Greer, a brother, Dr. Harold E. Ross, TN, many nieces and nephews
She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Alida J. Kelley and a brother, Joseph Paul Ross, JR
A celebration of her life was held at Blaney Baptist Church in Elgin at noon on Saturday, October 13, 2012.
Memorials may be made to Blaney Baptist Church in Elgin.
