Reid Andrew Addy was born November 16, 1988 in Camden, a son of Glenn Addy and Connie Cox Addy.

2009

Reid Andrew Addy, 20, of Camden, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009.

He was a junior at Clemson University and worked part-time at Cross Creek Country Club in Seneca. Reid was an avid hunter and golfer, and at the age of 16 became the youngest Club Champion at Camden Country Club. Reid was loved by everyone that ever met him.

He was survived by his mother, Connie Cox Addy and stepfather, Johan Guilliams of Camden; father, Glenn Addy of Surry, VA; half brother, Jeremy Addy of Chapin; maternal grandmother, Geneva R. Cox of Camden; paternal grandparents, Julian and Lou Addy of Chapin; aunts and uncles, Deborah Cox of Atlanta, Becky Cutler of Camden, Donna and Dickie Pittman, of Surry, VA and Gene and Donna Addy of Rockford, Il and many beloved cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Dickie Cox.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, October 30, 2009 from 5:00 -7:00 PM at the home. Memorials may be made in Reid’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
