Lola Mae Moak Rose was born July 25, 1928, in Blaney, she was the daughter of the late Lexie Moak and Zemmie Goff Moak.

Lola Mae Moak Rose, 79, of Elgin, died Sunday, April 13, 2008.
She was a member of Highway Pentecostal Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and Women’s Ministry Program.
Surviving were her husband of 62 years, Robert Walter Rose; children, Janice Evatt (Dan) of Central, Roberta Hellams (Wilton) of Columbia, Jeannie Potter (the late, Chris) of Elgin, Calvin Rose (Kim) of Elgin, and Ervin Rose of Elgin; brothers, Denny Moak (Clemmie) of Elgin and Kenneth Moak (Edith) of Elgin; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a large family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by brother, Ernie Moak and foster brother, Lester Brown.
Funeral service for were held Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. George Cashwell and Rev. Paul Miles will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Women’s Ministry.
