COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Mr. Robert Mahlon Oppenlander, 80, Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 1999 at Eau Claire Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Mr. Larry R. Zaky and Dr. Flynn T. Harrell. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Oppenlander died Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Born in Allentown, Pa., he was a son of the late Harry J. and Sarah Jane Bosler Oppenlander. He graduated from Norristown High School and completed a course in Television and Radio Electronics. He owned and operated Superior T.V. & Radio Service for 8 years. In 1982, he retired from Dixie Electronics (now Resource Electronics) following 19 years of employment there. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II., serving for 3 1/2 years. He was a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church, the Charity Sunday School class, and an honorary member of International Kings Daughters & Sons, Daniel Cozbi Circle.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Mrs. Jerry McCall (Margy O. McCall).
