Services for Mendel J. “Wimpy” Goff, 71, of Elgin, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church. Visitation was held from 7 to 8:30, tonight at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff Chapel. Memorials may be made to the church.
Mr Goff died Sunday, August 14, 1994. Born in Blaney, he was a son of the late William Henry Goff and Eunice Hornsby Goff. He was retired from DuPont.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Janet Wooten Goff; sons, Michael Goff, and Flynn Goff, both of Elgin; daughters, Vicky Peake and Lynn Hunter, both of Elgin and Pam Long of Lugoff; a brother, Talmadge Goff of Elgin; sisters, Pearl Nettles of Elgin, Lillie Mae Hildenburg of Maywood, Ill., and Betty Meetze of West Columbia; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
