Floyd G. Powell

Funeral Services for Floyd G. Powell will be held at 2 p.m tomorrow in Thompson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Dale Knight. burial will be in the Union Baptist Churchyard in Elgin.

Mr. Powell, 57, of 1441 Peeples St., died yesterday in Columbia Hospital after several years’ illness.

He was born in Catawba county, N.C., a son of the late J. T. Powell and Maybell Grover Powell, and had made his home in Columbia all his life. He was a meat cutter with Powell By-Rite Market and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gussie Branham Powell; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ann Fulmer of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. N. L. Gunter of Columbia; and two brothers, Joel E. Powell and Hermon S Powell of Columbia.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gussie Branham Powell; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ann Fulmer of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. N. L. Gunter of Columbia; and two brothers, Joel E. Powell and Hermon S Powell of Columbia.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge.
