This Saturday night, July 20th, the Blaney Drag Strip will have a “double feature” attraction.

There will be a Big Super Stock Meet in which top name drivers from all over the southeast will be competing. All other N.H.R.A. classes will also be running and a $2000 Purse will be offered for this race.

The second attraction will be Col. G. E. Shumpert’s THUNDER WAGON Dodge truck. “Shump” will return to do his famous back-over-flip. At the last race at Blaney, he tore up the rear-end of the truck and was unable to complete the exhibition run.

The gates will open at 4:00 P.M. for time trials. Classification of cars will close at 7:30 P.M. and the race will get underway at 8:00 P.M.
