Miss Arite Motley

Miss Arite Motley, 77, of Blaney died at 10 o’clock Monday morning (January 6, 1947) at a local hospital in Columbia, after a long illness.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. M H. Hornsby of Blaney; six nieces, Mrs. Janie Hornsby of Blaney, Mrs. Mary Branham of Camden, Mrs. Viola Andrade of California, Mrs. Lillian Rabon of West Columbia, Mrs. Marie Johnson of Aiken, and Mrs. Eliza Branham of Blaney; six nephews, John Heath and Otto Ernest Hornsby of Columbia, Edmond Hornsby and Ellerbe Hornsby of Blaney, Boykin Hornsby of Sumter and Ollie Heath of North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church at Blaney, conducted by the pastor of the church. Interment will follow in the churchyard.

The funeral party will leave the Thompson Funeral Home at 2 p.m.
