Miss Juanita Floyd was a visitor at Bowen’s Friday.

Miss Dot Wise enjoyed a visit to Orangeburg last Monday while a guest of her mother, Mrs. Mattie Wise of Fort Motte.

F. G. Graham of Aynor visited his daughter, Alma Graham, last week.

LaVerne Morris enjoyed a visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Morris, of Turbeville.

Edd Plyer visited relatives in Camden last week.

Miss Evelyn Rush was the guest of her sister, Mrs. O. B. Ross, of Dillon last weekend.

Mrs. P. M. Oxford has just returned from Atlanta, where she was the guest of friends.

Willie Hedgepath is spending the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Hedgepath, of McBee.

Miss Frances Frick will be the guest of her parents in Chapin this weekend.

Miss Marguerite Joyner has resumed her studies after a visit in Lake City.

Miss Margarete Settlemayer was the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Settlemayer, of Great Falls last weekend.

John L. Gardner was the guest of his brother, Reece, Wednesday.

Miss Dot Gibson is enjoying a visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. U. Gibson of Dale.

Miss Irma Floyd is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Floyd of Kershaw.

Miss Bessie Campbell is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Campbell of Blaney.

Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Brock of Anderson have as their guest this weekend their son, Ruben.

Roy Small and son, Jimmy of Lancaster were the guest of Miss Earlene Small last week.

Miss Pat Shirley of Blackstock is the guest of Miss Lib Haney this weekend.

Bowen’s softball team divided a double header with Coopers last Wednesday night, Bowen’s taking the nightcap.

Miss Sadie Wallace is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Wallace, Great Falls.

Miss Gladys Jones is enjoying a visit to her sister, Clara Jones, of Laurinburg, N. C.

The following passed typing tests last week: Talley Calvo (65), Dorothy Lee Dozier (54), Glenn Phifer (50), Gladys Campbess (54), Hazel Floyd (51) and Margarete Trusdale (51).

The following passed arithmetic and law examinations last week, Dot Estes.

R. D. Cooper of Cincinnati, Ohio, visited the School Friday afternoon.

Mrs. R. H. Wienefeld left Friday evening for Baltimore, Md., where she will visited Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Wienefeld. Dr. R. H. Wienefeld has been in Baltimore this summer teaching at Johns Hopkins university. Before returning to Columbia, Doctor and Mrs. Wienefeld will visit the New York World’s fair.

Miss Ira Irby, has returned to Columbia after spending six weeks studying at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colo. On her way home she visited friends in Amarillo, Texas.

Miss Fritz Funderburg and Miss Lib Irick have been vacationing in Washington, D. C., for the past ten days, sightseeing and renewing old acquaintances.

Miss Cleo Evans has returned to Columbia from Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended the Baptist World alliance.
