Junior – Senior Banquet

Special To The State.

Blaney, May 9. – The annual junior-senior banquet of Blaney high school was held Friday night, May 1, at the school. A dim light was cast over the lobby from Japanese lanterns. Punch was served by Misses Wade and Wells in Japanese costume.

The guest were met by Misses Lucy Mae Jeffers. Lillie Edens and Sadie Sessions, who gave them their date cards for the evening.

At 10:30 the guests were ushered into the banquet hall by Japanese maidens.

A three-course dinner was served by Misses Crider, Starnes McNiel, Wade. Wells and Mrs. Simpson in Japanese costumes.

Miss Lucy Mae Jeffers, president of the junior class, presiding as toast mistress, gave a toast to the seniors. This was responded to by Levi Branham. A toast was given the visitors by A. T. Simpson, the response by Ashbury Martin. Eloise Rabon gave a toast to the superintendent, which in turn was responded to by E. A. Rentz. A toast to the faculty by Sadie Sessions was answered by Mr. Singley. Miss Ruby Sanders toasted the trustees and J. T. Ross responded.
