Ellen B. Percival Monroe was born October 6, 1858.

Mrs. Ellen Monroe, wife of I. J. Monroe, of Pontiac, who died at her residence Wednesday evening, May 28, 1924 at 7 o’clock, will be buried this morning, May 30, 1924 in the Union Baptist Churchyard. Funeral Services will be held in the church at 11 o’clock.

Mrs. Monroe was 67 years of age, and had been living at Pontiac for 22 years. She had been in ill health for about six months. Before her marriage on September 3, 1882, she was Miss Ellen Percival. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Monroe leaves two sons, G. P. Monroe and J. G. Monroe, both of Pontiac. She is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. W. A. Sanders of Camden, and two sisters, Miss Joan Percival of Pontiac and Mrs. Lizzie Rose of Blaney.
