Funeral services for Kermit Lee Hewitt will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, 1139 Highway 1 South, Lugoff.  Rev. Dr. Kimmett Lott will officiate. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 51 Providence Road, Orangeburg, SC.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Kermit, born in Conway, SC, was the son of the late Robert E. Lee Hewitt and Scottie Todd Hewitt.  He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, near St. Matthews, SC.

Kermit is survived by sisters, Eula Williamson (Joseph) and Annette Griffin; and brothers, Terry Hewitt, Reggie Hewitt, and Johnny Hewitt,

In addition to his parents, Kermit was predeceased by brothers, Earl Hewitt and Mack Hewitt.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
