There are a dozen games on the football schedule for Friday night as Rock Hill region teams make more preparations for region play. Fourteen local schools will see action this week.
Gaffney (1-2) at Northwestern (4-0)
Northwestern has been impressive on both sides of the ball in the first four weeks. Their offense has been balanced and explosive, and their defense has been solid. Gaffney will need to slow down the Northwestern offense and control the ball. Gaffney comes to the game after losing last week to Mallard Creek of Charlotte.

Rock Hill (1-3) at York (2-1)
Rock Hill got a much needed win last week, while York suffered a tough loss. This is a big rivalry game between two schools who were in the same region several years ago. The home field is a plus for York.

Nation Ford (0-4) at George Washington (VA) (0-3)
Nation Ford makes the long ride to Virginia in search of their first win of the season. They need a win to gain some confidence heading to region play. George Washington has already suffered two blowout losses.
Dorman (3-0) at Clover (1-2)
Clover played well in getting their first win last week on the road. They will need that same type of execution this week against Dorman, which is coming off a big win over Greenwood.

Fort Mill (0-3) at Lugoff-Elgin (2-2)
Fort Mill needs a win to get things turned around ahead of the region schedule. Playing on the road will be tough as Lugoff-Elgin has momentum coming off two straight wins.

South Pointe (4-0) at South Florence (4-0)
This is a battle of two of the best teams in the state in 4A. Both have explosive offenses, and strong defense units. The key for both teams will be to eliminate mistakes and make every offensive possession count.

Chester (2-2) at Catawba Ridge (4-0)
Catawba Ridge has been impressive this year. They will need to be at their best again Friday night against Chester, which has played well every week against teams in higher classifications.

Lakewood (2-2) at Andrew Jackson (1-2)
Andrew Jackson got some confidence with a win last week. They will need to keep that momentum going as they prepare for the region schedule. Lakewood is reeling after getting blown out last week.
Carolina Bearcats (1-2) at Buford (3-0)
Buford has done exceptionally well thus far. The Carolina Bearcats, who were idle last week, are coming off a one-sided loss two weeks ago.
Lewisville (4-0) at Ridge Spring-Monetta (0-3)
The Lions have been impressive thus far, and have improved with each week. Ridge Spring-Monetta is a very capable team. These two teams have played some classic games in the past.
Great Falls (1-3) at Hickory Hawks (2-2)
Great Falls is on the road again, and the key for success this week is consistency. Great Falls has done well at times, but they have yet to put together a complete game. Hickory is coming off a 49-0 win over Camden Military.
Legion Collegiate (1-3) at Charlotte Latin (2-1)
Legion Collegiate has struggled this season. The task Friday night is another tough one against a very good Charlotte Latin team.
