A Celebration of Life for Rebecca “Becky” Jewel West will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, 1112 Fair Street, Camden, SC, 29020. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM 1 hour prior to the service at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Becky’s home from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.   

Becky, the daughter of the late John Archie Smith and Ronnie Elizabeth “Peggy” Caulk, died on Sunday, September 4, 2022.  She loved fishing, riding her Harley motorcycle, and singing karaoke.

Becky is survived by her sons, Jay Horner (Roni) of Camden and Adam T. Horner (Melissa) of Shelby, NC; grandchildren, Dylan Newman, Dalton Horner, Nikki Horner, and Kendall Horner; brother Mike Smith of Cassatt, SC; sister Sharon Martin (Pat) of Cassatt, SC; and sister-in-law Harriett Smith.

In addition to her parents, Becky was predeceased by her daughter, Angie Horner Newman; and brothers Carl Smith and Tony Caulder.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the following for their care of Becky:  Laura Sweeney, Nancy Shuler, Suzanne Rapp, and the staff of Amedisys Hospice of Sumter.
