Obituary

SGM (Ret) DeMont Alexander Roberson was born on October 6, 1970, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Danny Roberson and Sharon Roberson. He entered into eternal rest on
September 1, 2022, in Columbia, South Carolina. He was fifty one years old.

He went to school in Saginaw, Michigan and attended Saginaw High School. At the age of 18, he joined the U.S. Army. He received numerous awards and medals throughout his career proving he was an exemplary Soldier. DeMont was awarded the highest award, the Legion of Merit. He attended the Sergeants Major Academy. He retired after serving 25 years in the U.S. Army. DeMont continued to further his education receiving a masters in Business, at Webster University.

Upon retirement, DeMont continued to expand his professional career, recently holding the position as the Talent Acquisition Supervisor at BlueCross BlueShield.

DeMont pledged Chi Iota Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. on March 22, 2014. He was a life member of the fraternity. He served as the Basileus, Keeper of Records, and received the Omega Man of the Year Award in addition to numerous fraternal accolades.

DeMont is preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley and Cornelieus Roberson and Raymond and Hazel Ellison.

SGM (Ret) DeMont Alexander Roberson leaves to mourn his passing: his daughter, Brianna Roberson, of Louisville, Kentucky; his mother, Sharon M. Roberson, of Charlotte, North Carolina; his father and stepmother, Danny K. (Doris) Roberson, of Pontiac, Michigan; his partner, Marissa Rowe, of Kingston, Jamaica; brothers, Andre Roberson, Andreus Dorsey, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Duran Roberson, of Pontiac, Michigan, and Jermaine Donnell, of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Danielle (James III) Roberson-Keyton, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Taquitta Porter-Jerrell, of Atlanta, Georgia; mother of his daughter, Lisa Roberson, of Radcliff, Kentucky; five nieces, six nephews, many other loving relatives, and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
