Blaney, Aug. 17. – The Rev. Mr. Willis of Ridgeway is conducting a meeting at Union Baptist Church this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Johnson of Garfield, Ga., are the guest this week of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Sessions.

Miss Cornelia Mae Rose and Evelyn Rose of Columbia spent last weekend with friends here.

Bill Kiker, A. R. Little and Roman West of Aiken spent last Sunday with friends and relatives.

Mrs. B. I. Maddox and children have returned home after a week’s stay in Columbia with her mother, Mrs. D. G. Sutton.

Mrs. Mary Moody and little son, Sadie Gray Moody, of Spartanburg spent last Sunday night with her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. S. W. Rose.

Little Ernestine Bailey and Reed Bailey have returned from a visit to their grandmothers, Mrs. L. F. Gensen, at Southern Pines, N. C.

Mrs. C. P. Woody and little daughter, Joyce Woody, of Lynchburg, Va., are spending some time here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Rose.

Miss Mary Rose has returned home after an extended stay in Columbia with relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Shull and Miss Ella Faye Baughman of Miami, Fla., visited relatives here last week.

Friends of little Martha Rose are glad to learn that she is improving after an operation for tonsils, Monday.

The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Kirkland and family sympathize with them over the loss of their home, which was destroyed by fire last Tuesday morning.
