A graveside service honoring the life of Emmaleen Catoe Lucas, 92, will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Malvern Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hermitage Baptist Church or Malvern Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lucas was born in Kershaw, SC, to the late Hollis Catoe and Ola Fannie Catoe, on July 20, 1929. She spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and puzzles books. She was an organizer and started the Antioch School Reunion years ago. Mrs. Lucas was member of Hermitage Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading her bible.
She was survived by her foster son, Jean Dunlap; daughters, Cathy Faulkenberry of Camden and Carolyn Lucas of Columbia; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Lee Lucas; son, Danny Lucas; parents, Hollis Catoe and Ola Catoe; brothers, Halet Catoe, James Catoe, Harvey Catoe, Buster Catoe, Jack Catoe, Stanley Catoe, and Olin Cecil Catoe; and sisters, Janet Rogers and Helen Baker.
