Obituary of Vickie Cornelia Harris

CAMDEN – Funeral service for Vickie C. Harris, 61, will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9-11am at the funeral home. The Rev. Charles Davis will officiate. Memorials may be made to the OB/GYN Department of MUSC Kershaw Medical Center, where she was a nurse for many years.

    Mrs. Harris passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Tally Howard Truesdale and Betty Jane Rogers.  She was a loving wife and mother, and a good friend to many. Mrs. Harris loved being a nurse.

   Surviving in addition to her parents is her husband, Joseph M. Harris; children, Erica Boone and Howard Clifton “Cliff” Boone; stepchildren, Chris Harris and Joseph Harris; grandchildren, Lacey Michelle Boone, Samuel Vincent Boone, and Peyton Harris; brothers, Nelson Truesdale and Tally Truesdale, Jr. “Bubba”. She was predeceased by her brother, William Cecil Truesdale and sister, Margaret Truesdale.
