A funeral service for Robbie Stokes McCaskill, 79, of Cassatt, will be held at Sandy Grove United Methodist Church on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Mike Ray and Rev. Larry Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. Memorials may be made Sandy Grove Cemetery Association, PO Box 275, Bethune, SC 29009 or to American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, SC 29078.

Robbie died Thursday, September 16, 2021. Born in Bethune, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret King Stokes, and wife of the late Baron McCaskill, Jr. Robbie was a longtime member and former treasurer of Sandy Grove United Methodist Church (UMC). Former member of Cayce UMC.  Vice Chairperson of South Central Eastern Region Music Club.  Past President of the Bishopville Music Club. Investment Chairperson for the State Music Club.  Past Chairperson and Treasurer of the Lee County Arts Council.  Active Clemson donor and fan. Former board member of the Midland Dixie Youth Baseball League and former board member of the Midland Youth Football League. Hobbies included traveling the world, seamstress and clothing designer, baker and enjoyed RVing. She retired after 33 years with the Internal Revenue Service having served in a leadership role. Additionally, she retired after serving 10 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina.

Robbie is survived by her sons, Baron L, McCaskill, III and his partner, Blane Ruschak, of Charleston, and Charles O. McCaskill and his wife, Tina, of West Columbia; Shannon Kaiser; grandson, Gavin Alexander McCaskill; sisters, Patricia McCaskill (Cecil L., Jr.) of Camden, and Miriam Alberico (Dan) of Houston; brothers, Robert Stokes (Elizabeth) of Alaska, Richard Stokes (Martha) of Bethune, and Steven Stokes (Wendy) of Hartsville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
