Gertrude Branham Kelly


Gertrude Branham was born on 28 May 1928 in Eastover, Richland, South Carolina, USA a child of John Mann Branham and Daisy Eva Crossland Branham. 


On January 1, 1962 Mrs. Claytor Kelley was listed as a living sister in the obituary of Harold Edward Branham.


On October 28, 1976, Mrs. Gertrude Kelly was listed as the living sister in the obituary of Leslie L. Branham.


A graveside service to celebrate the life and legacy of Gertrude Branham Kelly, 92, will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday March 12, 2021 in the Centerville Cemetery, 867 Centerville Road, Ridgeway, SC 29130. Officiating the service will be Elder Anthony W. Branham.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.

    Mrs. Kelly, departed peacefully from this earth surrounded by her loving family on March 10, 2021.  She was born in Eastover, SC to John Mann “Dury” Branham and Daisy Eva Crossland.  Mrs. Kelly was a  member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ridgeway Ward.  She was preceded by her parents and her beloved husband, Claytor W. Kelly and 11 siblings. 

    Surviving is her daughter, Jewel K. Bellios (Louie) Chapin,SC; and her most beloved grandson, M. Allen Walker (Tina) of Millen, Georgia;  two great-granddaughters, Patrica Bailey (Chris) and Rebecca Creel; six great great grandchildren, Drake, Annabella,Dylan,Trinity, Lalaih and Kaileigh; and a host of other loving relatives that held a special place in her heart.

    A special thanks to her dedicated caregiver Keshia Jones, and AHEPA house.  As well as, the exceptional staff on the East SSU 4th floor at Lexington County Hospital.  Due to COVID restrictions a delayed celebration of life reception will be held at the Centerville cemetery picnic facility.
