Visitation for Mrs. Boykin will take place from 3 until 6 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. There will be a public graveside at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Union Baptist Church.

Mrs. Thomasena Boykin, 72, of Camden, SC entered into eternal rest on October 9, 2020. She was born February 27,1948 in Rembert, SC to the late John Ransom, Sr and Laura Boyd.

Thomasena received her early education in the Sumter county public schools. She worked in manufacturing and textiles until her health declined. Thomasena was also an active member of Pine Grove AME Church until her health declined.

Thomasena loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working on gardening projects and home repair. She never kept things the same in her home more than three months before remodeling and making changes.

Those left to share her memories include her four children, Patricia (Charlie) Dixon, Willis “Mark” Boykin, III, Shelvin Tirell Boykin and Felicia (Everett) Mumford all of Camden, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Willis “Marguel” (Deshondra) Boykin, IV, Marcel (Poogie) Boykin, Charlie “CJ” Dixon, III, and Shawn Tirell Boykin, all of Camden, South Carolina; six great-grandchildren, Braylen and Kamryn Mumford, Caleigh Dixon, Navier and Aubrey Boykin and Jordyn David all of Camden, South Carolina; daughter-in-law, Audrey Boykin of Camden, South Carolina; God-daughter, Alicia Abrams of Sumter, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings.
