Polly Webb Walden, age 88, of Camden, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 in Camden, SC. Born in Camden on August 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Cassady and David James Webb.
She is a retiree of DuPont. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and McDonalds french fries.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Samuel M. Walden, Jr; her children, Dianne Walden Dennis (Gerald) of Camden, Larry Walden (Sharon) of Camden, Rhonda Walden Rabon (Drew) of Lugoff and Donna Walden Bradley (Lynn) of Cassatt; her sisters, Margaret Holley of Kershaw and Virginia Williams of Camden and her brother, Ed Cassady of Bethune; her grandchildren, Amanda Dennis Locklear (Philip) of North Myrtle Beach, Tommy Dennis (Heather) of North Myrtle Beach, Lauren Rabon Hunt (Jonathan) of Lugoff, Nicole Rabon Silva (Raul) of Elgin, Jeremy Bradley (Ashleigh) of Elgin, Jenna Bradley Bates (Marvin) of Piedmont, and Chris Walden (Ashley) of Loris; and 18 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Billy Webb and Henry “Hank” Cassady and her sister, Thelma Cassady Jackson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Kornegay Funeral Home in Camden, SC. Graveside services will follow at Quaker Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. in Camden, SC. Keith Coates will be officiating, accompanied by Jeff Catoe. Everyone is invited, but will be required by the City of Camden to wear a mask and social distance in order to provide a safe environment for all.
