A graveside service for Charles William “Charlie” Humphries, 90, of Camden, SC will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Phillip Gerrald will officiate. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Charlie died Saturday, July 4, 2020. Born in Rock Hill, SC, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Lula Wright Humphries, and was the husband for 68 years to the late Jane Stone Humphries. He attended the University of Georgia and was a retired DuPont superintendent. A member of First Baptist Church, Charlie was a former head usher, president of the Young at Heart, and served on many other committees.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Bazemore (Jesse) of Columbia, SC; son, Chuck Humphries (Paulette), of McBee, SC; grandchildren, Chip Humphries (Amanda), of McBee, SC, Elizabeth Andrews (Daniel), of McBee, SC, and Jessica Bazemore of Columbia, SC; great-grandchildren, Emma, Annabelle and DaniRose Andrews, all of McBee, SC; and sister, Vivian H. Bishop, of North Augusta, SC.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents and wife.
