Edith Simpson Robinson, 95, died Friday, April 24, 2020. Born in Monroe, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Simpson and Beulah Deese Simpson Miller, and the wife of the late Lewis L. Robinson, who was the owner of the former Robinson Hardware. Edith was a graduate of the School of Nursing in New Orleans and a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church. She was loved by her family and was a friend to the whole Camden community.
She is survived by her sons, Lewis L Robinson, Jr. and Charles A. Robinson of Camden; granddaughter, Gina Blackwell Gott (Kenny) of Camden; grandson, Thomas Broadway, III of Lugoff; and sister, Louise Peterson.
Edith was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her daughters, Barbara R. Blackwell and Mary Ann R. Branham; sisters, Sarah Miller, Mary Presley, and Dixie Byars; and brother, George Miller, Jr.
The family graveside service will be private; a public memorial service will be held at a later date.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
