Maria Novak Mazurek was born on July 2, 1924 in Mallwitz, Poland, the daughter of Peter Paul Novak and Anna Barczinski Novak.

Maria Novak Mazurek, 95, of Camden died Friday, April 17, 2020.

Maria was survived by her daughter, Christa M. Johnson (Gerald), of Dalton, GA; son, Joe Mazurek (Lucy), of Rembert, SC; grandchildren, Mike Johnson (Dana), of Huger, SC, Russ Johnson (Brandy), of Ooltewah, TN, Beth Johnson, of Chatsworth, GA and Anna and Mary Mazurek of Rembert, SC; and great-grandchildren, Joseph Mazurek, Brandon Smith, Abby Johnson, Emma Johnson, Kaden Johnson, and Luke Johnson.

Maria was predeceased by her husband, Ludwik Mazurek, and her sisters, Anna Lisa Nova and Greta Weija of Breisland, Germany.

A private family graveside service will be held.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Karesh Long Term Care Facility, or to the charity of one’s choice.
