Lois Gaskin Grant, 97, died Saturday, April 4, 2020. She was born on December 16, 1922 in Camden, SC, the daughter of the late Joe Burwell and Eula Marshall Gaskin. Lois was the widow of the late William Alexander “Bill” Grant. A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lois was a retired teacher having taught at McBee High School, the Montessori School of Camden and Joseph Kershaw Academy. She was also a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Caroline Grant Blair, of Cassatt, SC, Mary Grant Champlin, of Horn Lake, MS.; son, Charles A. Grant (Stella), of Cassatt, SC; grandchildren, Mark Blair, Rachel Loescher, Grant Ives, Kathryn Champlin, Tina Ard, Don White and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Lois was predeceased by her son, William Parker Grant; brother, Joby Gaskin, Jr.and sister, Elizabeth Terry.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
