Olin Earl Jackson was born in Lugoff, he was a son of the late John Boykin Jackson and Etta Dowey Jackson.

Olin Earl Jackson, 83, of Lugoff, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
Mr. Jackson served in the U.S. Army, S.C. National Guard and retired from DuPont. He was a member of the Rowan Presbyterian Church. He was president of Mule and Equine Association for 18 years and organized the Wateree Saddle Club. Mr. Jackson devoted his time to help with many fundraising events such as the American Heart Association, and youth at Rowan Presbyterian Church. He organized an annual “Olin Jackson Chicken Stew” fundraiser which was in its 42nd year.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Kay Jackson; children, Tammie Smith (Jay) of Lugoff, Mandy Bowers (Randy) of Lugoff, Tony Jackson (Doris) of N.C., Mark Jackson (Erica) of Elgin; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Jackson.
A private graveside service for Olin Earl “PapaO” Jackson, was held in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Stephen Jordan officiated. A public Celebration of Life Service was held at a later date at Rowan Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rowan Presbyterian Church.
