Jeffrey “Jeff” Neal Sweat, 53, of Camden, SC, died Sunday, March 22, 2020. Born on September 5, 1966 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Samuel Sweat and the late Martha Wilson Sweat.
Jeff was a retired iron worker and member of California Iron Workers Union, who had worked for Fluor Daniels and had also worked on Williams Brice Stadium, the State House dome and other iconic South Carolina buildings. He loved country music, fishing and was a huge Gamecock fan.
Jeff is survived by his father; sisters, Catrina Sweat Bolton, of Pendelton, SC, Elizabeth Sweat, of West Columbia, SC, Crystal Sweat Bigham (Shawn), of Pontotoc, MS, Amanda Sweat Derrick, of Bishopville, SC; brother, Daniel Earl Sweat, of Gilbert, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Jeff was predeceased by his mother and his wife, Donna Privett.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
