Gilbert Brown was born July 11, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., he was the son of Quentis and Ethel Lee Ferguson Brown.

Gilbert Brown, 77, of Lugoff, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020.

He served in the United States Army and retired from Nabisco. He was a member of New Life Christian Outreach Church.

Surviving were his wife, Mable Doris Jackson Brown; children, Carl Clark (Nanette), Karen McFadden (Courtney) and Andrea Keith (Steven); brother, Hendricks Brown and Alvin Brown; sisters, Olivia Brown and Mary Ann Brown; and 7 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by brother, Quentis Brown Jr.; and sisters, Mildred Brown and Lillian Pugh.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Christian Outreach Church. Private burial was held in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
