Obituary

James Ed Holiday departed this life, peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

“Hollywood”, “Bo-Bo”, “Renny” and “Log,” as he was known by his friends and family, was born January 2, 1949, to the late James and Alma Holiday.  He was also preceded in death by his son, Kemper Brennen; two sisters, Eva Mae Ransom and Sallie Holiday and a brother, Thomas Holiday.

James was an avid sports fan who loved the game of baseball. He played for many years with the Mighty Pisgah Pirates and Sandhill Sluggers. He was a huge New York Jets fan and also enjoyed watching Nascar racing.  He was employed by Thermoid, HBD Industries (formally known as BF Goodrich) for 40 years before retiring in 2019.

James leaves to mourn his wife of 41 years, Patricia Graham Holiday; daughter, Angela Glover; son, Felepe Tremayne Holiday, along with his girlfriend, Ashley Tanner; one granddaughter, Rayanna Pringle; two grandsons, Byron Washington and King Alexander Holiday; one Godson, Chance Holiday.

James also leaves to mourn five siblings, Delores and Celestine Holiday, Vivian Bennett, all of Rembert, SC, Terri (Kenneth) Carter of Camden, SC and Alphonzo (Tonia) Council of Lansing, MI; six sisters-in-law, Rosa Holiday of Rembert, SC, Bessie (Donald) Williams of Camden, SC, Thelo (Andrew) Kim of Colorado Springs, CO, Joanna (David) Allen-Gibbs of Rembert, SC, Joan (Louis) Berry of Dallas, TX and Jacqueline Stuckey; seven brothers-in-law, Marion Ransom, Sr., James Graham, Sr., Thomas (Linder) Graham, John (Earline) Graham, Steve (Dorothy) Graham all of Rembert, SC, William (Francis) Graham of Camden, SC, and Michael Allen of Fayetteville, NC; two bonus daughters, Nikia Lavette McCollough and Nkechi  Brodie; one bonus son, Harry McLeod. James was deeply loved by his nieces and nephews and host of other family and friends.
