
It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. Harold C. Brown of Columbia, formerly of Camden. Mr. Brown entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Columbia VA Healthcare System.
Harold was born in Camden, South Carolina on January 14, 1947. He was the son of the late Robert M. Brown, Sr. and the late Sadie Brown.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and two sons.
Harold was a graduate of Jackson High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army.
After returning home, he was employed by Cogsdill Tool Company, DuPont, and Taylor Brothers of Columbia, South Carolina.
Harold was a lifelong member of Camden Second Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Camden Second Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held at a later date at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church for viewing one hour prior to the service. Public viewing will be held from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Those left to cherish his memory and celebrate his homegoing are two daughters: Nosia Sanders of Georgia and Crystal B. Haggins (Javon) of Elgin, SC; three sons: Steven Wright, Christopher Thompson, and Harold C. Brown, Jr.; 13 grandchildren; two brothers: Joseph C. Brown of Harrisburg, PA and Theodore Brown (Barbara) of Camden, SC; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
