Obituary of Shirley Hinson

CAMDEN – Graveside service for Shirley A. Hinson, 85, were held in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, September 13, 2018.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

    Mr. Hinson passed away at Providence Health on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Earnie A. Hinson and Selma Shirley Hinson.  He retired from DuPont and enjoyed wood working.

    Surviving are his wife, Lorene West Arledge; daughter, Deborah Hopkins of Bethune; son, Stewart Hinson of West Columbia; brothers, Earnie Hinson and Henry Hinson; sisters, Jackie Riley and Marilyn Beard; grandchildren, Melissa Hopkins, Jamie Hopkins and Junior Hopkins; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by brothers, Delbert Hinson and T.W. Hinson; and sisters, Betty Farmer and Loma Hall.
