A service to celebrate the life of William Leonard Wilson, Sr., age 89, of Camden will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Gene Stokes will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, PO Box 798, Camden, SC 29021.

Mr. Wilson died Sunday, September 9, 2018. He was born in Bethune, the son of the late James Wilson and Janie Collins Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired from Camden Concrete after 35 years.

Surviving Mr. Wilson are a son, William Leonard Wilson, Jr. (Harriet) of Chapin; daughters Deborah W. Blevins (Ronney) of Lugoff, and Ginger Butler Thomas (Michael) of Greenville; grandchildren Benjamin W. Wilson, Brie L. Graham, Nancy Snyder, Crystal Jordan, Ronney Blevins, Jr., Beth Paschos, Katie Hiemer, Wil Butler; twelve great grandchildren; sisters Alma, Geneva, and Margaret; and brother Louis.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his wife, Marion Tidwell Wilson; a son, Ben Kirby Wilson; 3 brothers and a sister.
