She died on 08 Sep 2018 in Anderson, South Carolina, USA. She was buried on 12 Sep 2018 in Anderson, Anderson, South Carolina, USA at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Eloise Kay Harrison

Eloise Harrison of Anderson, widow of Manning I. Harrison, died Saturday September 8, 2018. A lifelong Anderson resident, she was educated in its public schools and at Anderson College and was retired from Piedmont Candy and Cigar Company. Mrs. Harrison was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she had been active in multiple programs and was a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class and the Julia Camp Circle.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas C. And Gertrude W. Kay; sister Frances Kay Morris; and brother, Dr. Thomas O. Kay. Surviving are son, COL, (R)USA, Tom Harrison (Katrina), Chandler, AZ; grandson, Crayton Harrison (Lesley Tellez), Queens, NY; granddaughter, Kate Pazdernik (Matt), Brooklyn, NY; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harrison most recently  resided at Garden House and greatly appreciated the love and support she received from the staff, dear friends, and her church family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Mary Teasley, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.

  In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully recommends memorials be made to the Eloise K. Harrison (’37) Scholarship at Anderson (SC) University, 316 Boulevard, Anderson,  SC 29621 or to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1809 N. Main Street, Anderson,  SC 29621.
