Ruby Mae Reynolds Keys was born to the late Josephine Reynolds and Anthony Reynolds on July 1, 1932, in Camden, South Carolina. She went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Providence Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Ruby accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She became an active member at Gordon Street Church of God, where she served in various capacities such as a Missionary, Sunday School teacher, Usher and Church Secretary. In her later years, her faithfulness was honored with the title Mother of the Church.
In her youth, she attended Jackson School and later as an adult returned to school to receive her GED. She worked many years caring for others as a Patient Sitter and a Housekeeper.
Ruby was married to the late Willie Keys. They were blessed with 5 children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Keys, her son, Terry Russell Keys; her granddaughter, Toni Johnelle Blakeney; her daughter-in-law, Benji Renee Skinner Keys and her sister, Mary Fowler Stradford.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, Freddie (Rosa) Keys of Rembert, SC; John E. Keys of Elgin, SC; her two daughters, Willie Mae Keys of Elgin, SC, Dana Lucy Keys of Camden, SC; her daughter-in-law, Susan R. Keys of Lugoff, SC; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
