Obituary

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Ann Barnett Trapp, 82, of Camden, SC, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Grace Episcopal Church. Rev. Pickett Wall will officiate. Burial will follow in Quaker Cemetery. Mary Ann died Tuesday, September 4, 2018. She was born in Clarksville, VA, the daughter of the late Sydney Barnett and Leila Maxey Coleman. Mary Ann was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and very active in service and leadership in the church. Mary Ann loved nature, travel and spending time with family and friends, especially adventures with the Traveling Women. She was a teacher, a charter member of CCM, danced 48 years with the Camden Hi-Steppers and was elected into the State Square Dancing Hall of Fame. She lived life to the very fullest until the very end.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Frank J. Trapp, Jr.; children, Beth Boensch and her husband, Frank, Todd Trapp and his wife, Rose and Julie Blackwell and her husband, Grover; and 10 grandchildren.

Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents; stepfather, Jack Coleman; and her brother, John Barnett and his wife, Carol.
