LUGOFF – A funeral service for Mary Ann Dawkins, 92, will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with a visitation 1hr prior. Burial will follow the service at Union Baptist Church in Elgin. Rev. Dr. Philip Blankenship will officiate. Memorials may be made to Blaney Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dawkins passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Born in Columbia, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Vaughn and Mary Ann Blackmon Vaughn.

Surviving is her daughter, Carole (Billy) Eubanks; 4 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby (Freddie) Vaughn and Billy (Mae) Vaughn; her beloved companion and pet, Abby.

She was predeceased by her children, Betty Mae Sawyer and Sammy Dawkins; several brothers and sisters.
