All family members were reported to have been born in South Carolina and lived in the same house on April 1, 1935. Bryan P Johnson was a retail merchant at a grocery store.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Zena Johnson Carmichael, 83, of Camden, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Tommy Bowers will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The Cross and The Sword Church, 3739 Old Georgetown Road West, Kershaw, SC 29067.
Zena died Thursday, December 14, 2017at home surrounded by her 3 children. She was born in Florence, SC, the daughter of the late Bryan P. Johnson and Emma Livingston Johnson. Zena was a member of The Cross and The Sword Church. She graduated from Winthrop College with a bachelor’s degree in education then taught elementary school in Manning, SC and Antioch, SC in her early adulthood. In her later years, Zena worked as a clerk at Camden Antique Mall, which she loved.
Zena is survived by her daughter, Kim C. Cooper (Steve) of Gastonia, NC; sons, Bryan Carmichael (Kimberley) of Junction City, OR and Al Carmichael (Suzan) of Lugoff, SC; grandchildren, Claudia, Megan, Sarah, Joshua, David and Katie; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Autumn, Madison and Sawyer.
Zena was predeceased by her husband, Kayton Spencer Carmichael, Jr.; and her sister, Becky Kimberly.
