Catherine F. O’Quinn, 90, of Elgin, died June 28, 2017. Born July 19, 1926, in Bamberg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Lucy Carter Fender.

She was a member of Blaney Baptist Church and former member of Bayview Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She loved fishing and camping in the motor home.

Survivors include her children, Richard O’Quinn (Rosemary), Larry O’Quinn (Angie); grandchildren, Ric, Aprial, Jennifer, Cindy, Keith and Monica; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her fur companion, Buttons; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barry “Junior” O’- Quinn; four brothers; and her grandson, Brian.

The funeral service for Mrs. O’Quinn will be held 2:30 o’clock Sunday, July 2nd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:30 o’clock. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
