Sylina Johnson Mitchell was born Wednesday, April 24, 1974 in Lumberton, N.C.,  a daughter of Dennis James Johnson and Francine Boone Munn.

Sylina Johnson Mitchell, 42, of Elgin, died December 18, 2016.

Ms. Mitchell was the owner of Charlie Kirkland Peanuts. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving were her parents, Francine Munn, Dennis Johnson; step-mother, Cynthia Johnson; children, Dystany D. Mitchell of Lugoff, Joseph Mitchell of Lugoff, grandchildren, Jaiden, Kolton, Kodence, and Karrianna; brother, D.J. Johnson; and a sister, Deanna Johnson. 

 A gathering was held Thursday, December 23, 2016 from 6-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
