Mrs. Rebecca “Annie” H. Ball

Rebecca Ann “Annie” Hampton Ball was born August 13, 1979 in Greenville, SC to Robert Wayne and Catherine Lott Hampton.

Rebecca Ann “Annie” Hampton Ball, 37, of Columbia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2016.

Annie attended school at Mitchell Road Christian Academy, League Middle School and was home schooled throughout high school. A wonderful and devoted wife and mother, she was active in Crescent Hill Baptist Church and her daughters school activities.
Annie lit up a room with her “sunny” personality and cheerfulness. She looked at people and saw them as individuals and somehow knew just what each one needed – a smile, a hug, a joke, or an encouraging word.

She was survived by her husband, Donald M. Ball, Jr.; daughters, Caitlyn and Casey Ball; her parents, Cathy and Wayne Hampton; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Clevenger (Rick) and their sons, Zachary and William; grandparents, James and Mare Lott and Rhunett Hampton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Venice and Donald M. Ball, Sr. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral service was held at 11 o’clock, Friday, December 16th at Crescent Hill Baptist Church with The Rev. Lee Butler, and The Rev. Jai Ferguson officiating, with burial in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family received friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia and at other times at 120 Woodshore Drive, Columbia.
