Lucy Miles Martin was born November 11, 1925 in Paris, TN, the daughter of the late George Thomas Miles and Alta Enoch Miles.

Lucy Miles Martin, 91, of Camden, SC, widow of Vurden D. Martin, Sr., died Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Lucy worked at Belk Department Store for several years once her youngest child was grown.

Lucy was survived by her children, Vurden D. Martin, Jr. (Catherine) of Burbank, CA, Cheryl M. Brannon (Joe) of Lexington, SC, and Philip G. Martin of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Thor Martin, Eric Martin, Ian Martin (Julie), Jay Brannon, Jeff Brannon (Heather), Jaime Presor (Garry), Nathan Martin, Natalie Davis (Ricky); 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren;

Lucy was predeceased by her sisters, Iris Jarvis and Rozella Treanor.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.

A funeral service was held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Bruce Hancock officiated. Burial follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family received friend at 10:00 AM, 1 hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Young at Heart Program, First Baptist Church, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, SC 29020.
