Mr. Anthony B. “Tony” Knight was born December 31, 1957, the son of Reverend Bernard and Willie Mae Knight.

Anthony “Tony” Bernard Knight, 58, of Elgin, South Carolina passed away on November 27, 2016.

Mr. Knight was employed with the South Carolina Fire Academy and Operator of Three Boys Recycling. A dedicated public servant, Tony had a long career with the Cayce Fire Department, served as a South Carolina State Constable, and a Reserve Deputy with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, as well as with the Homeland Security Response Task Force.

Mr. Knight was a graduate of Eau Claire High School and attend the University of South Carolina where he played soccer.

He was predeceased by his parents, Reverend Bernard and Willie Mae Knight; and a sister, Augustus L. “Gussie” Talton.

Mr. Knight was survived by his daughter, Heather Lee-Ann Neer (Chris) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and his beloved three grandsons, Dylan James Miller, Chandler Anthony Miller, and John David Monroe; and former wife, Kathy Fraley (Joe).

The funeral service was held 3 o’clock, Thursday, December 1st at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30.
