James David “JD” Freeman

James David “JD” Freeman was born, Thursday, May 11, 1950, in Kershaw, he was a son of  Lewis Freeman and Margaret Sheorn Moseley.

James David “JD” Freeman, 66, of Kershaw, assed away Saturday, November 26, 2016.

Mr. Freeman served in the U.S. Army and fought in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed coloring.

Surviving were his brother, Edward Freeman (Diane) of Kershaw; a sister, Sarah Bass of Kershaw; nieces, Brenda Bass, Sara Renee Altman; nephews, Jamie Freeman, Dewey Bass, 4 great-nephews; 4 great-nieces; and 1 great-great niece.

Funeral services was held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at House of Prayer with Open Arms Church, 3127 Old Georgetown Rd, Kershaw, S.C., with burial to follow in Boonetown Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Barrett officiated. The family received friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. and all other times at the home of Sarah Bass at 2625 Old Georgetown Rd W., Kershaw, S.C. 29067. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to House of Prayer with Open Arms Church or KershawHealth Hospice.
