Memorial service for John Wayne Turner, 78, will be held Tuesday at 12pm, with a visitation 1hr prior at Harvest Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Pastor Bill Dulaney will officiate.

Mr. Turner passed away October 30, 2016. Born in Mullins, SC, on July 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Willis Turner and Louvina Rowell Turner. He was a DAV and member of American Legion Post #17. He enjoyed woodwork. He was a devoted member of Harvest Baptist Church in Elgin. He was once a sinner saved by grace through his faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Rachel T. Turner; children, Connie Cook, Ginger (Charles) Smoak, Tammy (Victor) Cooper, and Joel (Angie) Turner; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandhchild; sister, Tebia Jane Singleton.
