– A funeral service for Dennis Edward Dyches, 63, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Dennis specifically asked that casual attire be worn at the service.
Mr. Dyches, beloved husband of Judy Parnell Dyches, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, October 28, 2016, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born February 1, 1953, in Orangeburg, S.C., he was a son of the late Raymond Dyches and Jennie Kittrell Dyches. Dennis was well known as a master carpenter and an aficionado of music, NASCAR, and sprint races. He was a member of Radiant Life Church and was an avid University of South Carolina football fan. He was a man of profound faith who loved his family and friends and served his church and Lord anyway he could.
In addition to his wife, surviving are his son, Shannon Dyches of Oklahoma; sister, Brenda Spires of Eastover; nephews, Kenny, Ray and Kevin Link, and Brent and Brian Jernigan; niece, Dana Jernigan Plumley; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his brother, Barry Dyches.
