Lewis Vinson CAMDEN –

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Robert Lewis Vinson, 82, of Camden, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Lewis, husband of Mamie Caulder Vinson, died Monday, October 24, 2016. He was born in Bethune SC, a son of the late Luther L. Vinson and Effie Bradley Vinson. Lewis is survived by his wife; children, Lou Ann Vinson of Camden, Layne Cresswell (Mark) of Greenville, Robert Lewis Vinson II (Mitchell) of Charlotte, Matthew Vinson (Lanett) of Camden, and Julie Braddock (Jimmy) of Lugoff; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Irene Ogburn, Eveleen Vinson, Luther Jr., J.W., Bill, Nell Davis, Stanley, Ralph, Jean Rush and Carroll. Lewis was predeceased by his brother, Floyd Vinson.
