Margaret Aldrich Peace
PENNSBORO, W.Va. –
Margaret Aldrich Peace, formerly of Lexington, SC, passed from this earth to go home to our heavenly father on October 15, 2016, while in the loving home of her daughter in Pennsboro, WV. She was born October 23, 1933, in Kershaw County, SC, to James Douglas and Maybell Kelly Aldrich.
Margaret was a devoted Christian and loved to sing His praises. She also had a fondness for John Wayne and all his old western movies. Margaret was a dedicated employee who retired from Allied Chemical and the S.C. Dept. of Education. Having raised five children, she well knew the meaning of hard work. In her later years she loved being outdoors and watching flora and fauna in all its splendor and beauty.
Margaret is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Thomas) Yarborough of Pennsboro, WV, H. Lloyd (Patty) Branham Jr., Carl F. Branham of Lexington, SC , Tammy M. Branham of Winter Haven, FL, and J. Ronald (Jan) Branham of Lexington, SC. Her surviving siblings are Betty Tucker and Ed Aldrich, both of West Columbia, SC.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, and siblings, Vera DeFoe, Rembert Aldrich, Lesley Aldrich, Maybell Barfield, Herbert Aldrich and Newman Aldrich.
Margaret was blessed with 10 grandsons, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all and will always have a place in our hearts.
A celebration of her life will be held for family and friends Sunday, November 20, 2016, at the Cayce Moose Lodge at 1541 Old Dunbar Rd., West Columbia, SC 29172 between 2:00-5:00.Please bring your memories to share.
